Whitefish Trail Youth Photo Contest Winners!

The first annual Youth Whitefish Trail Photo Contest has ended and local, professional photographers have chosen winners. We appreciate all of the contestants who took the time to take photos on the trail. The program would not have been a success without your participation!

Participating Photographers:

  1. Aidan Croskrey, Aaron Dicks, Taylor Gray, Maile Vine, Sophie Olson, Sukma Aryanti, Luna Stolte, and Natasha Abramchuk

First Place- Aidan Croskrey, age 14

Aidan Croskrey is the son of Jen and Jerry Croskrey. He attends Whitefish High School and his favorite outdoor activities are skiing and mountain biking. He is inspired by David de Rueda, an urban explorer and photographer.

Second Place- Aaron Dicks, age 12

Aaron Dicks, 12, is in the seventh grade. He moved with his family to Whitefish in 2013 and enjoys snowboarding, skiing, soccer, camping, hiking, and of course taking photos and videos. He is new to photography, but is learning from his uncle Alan, who Aaron says is his photographic hero. Inspired by his uncle, who says Aaron has a knack for photography, he plans to continue taking pictures because he’s usually out enjoying nature anyway.

Third Place- Taylor Gray, age 12

Taylor Grey is a seventh grader at Stillwater Christian School. Her favorite outdoor activity is volleyball and she also likes to run. She said her dad, although he wouldn’t be called a photography artist, inspires her and encourages her in photography.

All of the photos can be viewed below. We plan to continue the Whitefish Trail youth Photo Contest in 2017, so check back for updates!
