Spring 2026 School Field Trips Wrap Up!
This spring was full of learning and exploration at Lion Mountain, with school groups visiting from across the Flathead Valley, including Columbia Falls, Olney, Whitefish, and Kalispell. We hosted 14 field trips for 29 classes, welcoming a total of 627 students to the outdoors! May Whitefish Trail Report
We are in a sweet spot on the Whitefish Trail between mud season and dust season! The trails are in great shape, and the flowers are popping all over! The trails were drying out quickly in some places, so the recent rains are a welcome remedy. There have been reports of buggy spots near Woods and Dollar Lake and between Skyles and Beaver - nothing a slight breeze won't fix.
