Volunteer
Stewards of the Whitefish Trail
As the trail grows, so does the need to have strong community support in place to sustain and maintain the trail. Volunteering provides an avenue for individuals to give back to their community in a way that allows them to develop new skills, learn about the wild lands surrounding our communities, teach skills to others, gain health benefits and make a difference in the community.
Trail Patrol
Offer a regular presence on the trail system and to provide visitor assistance.
Trail Crew
Volunteers to help maintain the existing trail, assist with sign maintenance & support new trail construction.
Events
Volunteering for the annual Whitefish Trail Hootenanny or Whitefish Trail Blazer Race
Guided Hikes
Offering your expertise to lead or assist on a guided hike
Field Trips
Have a passion for outdoor education? Help lead field trips for local schools on the Whitefish Trail for ages pre-k through 6th grade!
Office Tasks
Helping with administrative tasks such as archiving or mailing
