Saturday Blazer 50k on 10/3
Saturday, October 3rd, starting and ending in the Village at Whitefish Mountain Resort, this 50k course features 31 miles of single and double track trails, with 6300' of elevation gain along with huckleberry-lined trails, views of Glacier National Park and Flathead Lake, technical ascents, and quad-busting descents! The course will take you to the summit of Big Mountain and along the Whitefish Trail down to the Reservoir Trailhead.
Food and celebration at the finish line following race. Prizes to be given to top-5 male and female finishers. All finishers will receive a finisher medallion. All racers will receive a race t-shirt.

Sunday Blazer on 10/4 - A distance for everyone
Sunday October 4th - the Half Marathon, 10k+, 5k+, and Family Fun-Run will begin at the new Whitefish Legacy Center and explore the Whitefish Trail in Beaver Lakes. The half marathon has about 2,000 feet of elevation gain spread out throughout the course, the 10k has about 750 in elevation gain, and the 5k has about 500 feet in elevation gain.
Food and beverages will be provided at a finish celebration. Awards will be given to top 5 finishers of each race. All runners will also receive a race t-shirt. Start times to be determined.

Training Series
In the months before the Trail Blazer, WLP will be putting on a series of training runs at different locations on the Whitefish Trail. For each run, we will be partnering with a local running expert to offer information on nutrition and fueling, footwear, and training regimens. These runs will be fun and informative for all types of runners. Come join us and get ready for the Blazer! 2026 Dates TBD.
