“Thanks for Supporting the Whitefish Trail!”

Guest Column by Whitefish Legacy Partners Board of Directors, 06-12-13

On behalf of the Whitefish Legacy Partners board, we would like to express our gratitude for your support of our conservation, recreation and education work. With your support this year, we plan to build 4.5 more miles as well as maintain the existing 22 miles of the Whitefish Trail.

Over 40 local businesses and organizations shared a portion of their revenue for a day, invited customers to become “Whitefish Trail Friends” and/or provided corporate sponsorship of the Whitefish Trail last week during a busy time of the year. How generous!

The Hootenanny was a huge success with over 600 people in attendance celebrating the Whitefish Trail. Everyone had a boot-stomping good time with the Moonshine Mountain Band and the Spring Wagon String Band.

So many people in the community signed up as Whitefish Trail Friends and Family before and during Friends Week. But if you haven’t yet, it’s never too late to support the Whitefish Trail! Our goal is to recruit 750 Friends and Family this year. This is an ongoing effort so please sign up to be a WT Friend or Family. Check out our website to sign up at
