Thanks to two grants from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), we will begin construction on a new section of the Whitefish Trail from the Big Mtn Trailhead in Haskill to Hellroaring Basin. We were awarded two grants to help fund the project - the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) is a federally funded FWP grant program that supports trail development and maintenance across Montana, while the Trail Stewardship Program is a state-funded FWP initiative focused on the development, renovation, and upkeep of trails and trailside facilities. Thank you FWP for your grant awards that support new construction to Close the Loop of the Whitefish Trail! Both grants require matching funds and volunteer labor, contact cynthia@whitefishlegacy.org to donate or volunteer this summer.
We also are excited to share that a recent $10,000 grant from Applied Materials will strengthen community connections to our local lands by expanding affordable outdoor education opportunities across the Flathead Valley — both at the new Whitefish Legacy Center and along the Whitefish Trail. Thank you Applied Materials!

As someone who's been around this subject for a while, I can tell you most coverage of it is shallow. Yours isn't — you went past the surface stuff into the parts people usually skip. That kind of depth is exactly why I trust certain writers over others. This online blog is going on my short list of places actually worth reading. Genuinely well done.
Reading through this company blog has been a consistently useful experience and this post is a good example of why. The subject is handled with care and the explanations are precise without becoming inaccessible or drifting into promotional territory. I came away with a better framework for thinking about the topic than I had before. That's one of the most valuable things good content can do regardless of where it comes from. I've recommended this to several people already and the feedback has been consistently positive. Will be following this source going forward.
I've recommended this news blog to several people now and the responses have all been positive. This post is a good example of why. The coverage is thorough without being exhausting and the tone is calm and professional throughout. It covers the most important angles without getting distracted by details that don't move the story forward. I returned to it once already to pull a specific point from it. That's usually a sign something was worth reading.
I was going through content on various blog topics in this area when this post stood out as the most useful thing I read that session. The explanations are well-calibrated — detailed enough to be genuinely useful, clear enough not to slow you down. The author acknowledged the areas where things are genuinely complicated rather than presenting everything as settled. That kind of intellectual honesty makes the content more credible and trustworthy. I've shared it with my team and the response was positive. Really well done.
Reading through this blog page has been one of the more rewarding ways I've spent time researching this subject. The explanations are precise without becoming rigid and the examples used throughout make the more abstract points much easier to grasp. I came away with a better framework for thinking about the topic than I had before. That's one of the most valuable things good content can do — not just transfer facts but help you organize your understanding in a way that actually sticks. Will be following this source going forward.
