We’ve completed construction for the year at Holbrook Overlook and are very excited to have just over 2 miles of trail and an expanded parking area ready for you to enjoy this winter!
There are three stacked loops to explore along the upper benches of the historic USFS Holbrook Overlook parcel. With gentle terrain and sweeping views of the valley, the trail is perfect for a family outing, snow shoeing, or stopping to walk your dog on your way to or from Whitefish Mountain Resort.
The parking area will be plowed all winter and will have a temporary sign kiosk and port-a-potty. We ask that you pack all trash out with you.
Thank you to Flathead National Forest and the City of Whitefish, our partners at the Holbrook Overlook, for all their work to help reconnect the community to this amazing area with new trail and a trailhead.
Stay tuned for details about the Opening Celebration in January!

I drove up there last weekend and was surprised how much parking they added. The loops are easy enough for my kids but still give you those big views. Smash Fest is something I heard about from a friend, so I'm glad I checked it out before heading to the resort.
I'm a competitive person but I don't like racing the clock. Meowdoku scratches that itch because it's all about deduction. There's this one rule—cats can't touch, not even diagonally—that forces you to think several moves ahead. I've started keeping a little notebook where I track my solves. It's become a daily habit, and I love how each puzzle makes you feel like a detective.
I like the Offline mode in Uno Online for practicing my skills before heading into the online lobby to 'purge' the competition.
One thing I like about Block Blast is the scoring system—multi-line clears feel way more rewarding than single clears.
