Looking Back at WT 2024 Summer Camps

This summer we had three Forest Explorer camps and one Girls on the Trail! All camps were full of adventures in the woods, creativity & imagination, and new friendships. We built houses in the woods for local critters as well as magical ones, hiked and biked on the Whitefish Trail, dabbled in different art forms, identified tracks, and played games in the sunshine!

Girls on the Trail was led by strong women volunteers who brought intentionality to the camp teaching skills and sharing about what inspires them every day! A huge thank you to Sheala, Madeline, Jessie, Sarah, and Somer for bringing your passion for therapy, yoga, mountain biking, trail work, and art to all our young woman participants. We want to continue to grow this offering to support young girls in feeling connected to our community. Thank you to Soroptimist Whitefish for the support of our 2024 Girls on the Trail camp!

We are confident that summer camps on the Whitefish Trail gave all participants a deeper respect for nature, others, and themselves - and everyone had a blast!

These summer camps sound absolutely magical — a perfect blend of adventure, creativity, and community for the kids. The girls' program especially feels like a beautiful way to build confidence and connection. If you love wholesome outdoor joy mixed with a little weirdness, you’ll also enjoy cursed images!

What an incredible summer of adventure! Huge thanks to all the amazing volunteers who made these camps so special for the kids. If you want to turn your own camp photos or nature art into wall-sized posters, rasterbator is a fun way to print and piece them together. Sounds like the perfect project to remember all that forest fun! 🏕️🌲

The critter houses and magical woodland builds sound like the best kind of summer adventure, and it’s so great that Girls on the Trail brought in women mentors to share their real passions. That intentionality must have made such a difference for the participants. By the way, I keep a free recipe site for late-night cravings I like to share: https://foodnevercomes.net/

It’s heartwarming to see how much joy these campers found in nature and creativity! From hiking the Whitefish Trail to making art, every memory matters. When you’re ready to unwind indoors, sometimes solving an arrow puzzle is the perfect way to keep the mind active too. Thank you to all the volunteers!
