WT Adopt-A-Trail Volunteers at Work!

As the season for trail work is coming to an end, our Adopt-A-Trail Crews have been hard at work. Thank you Grouse Mountain Lodge, Logan Health, Averill Hospitality, Stack Financial Management, and Parkside Credit Union for all your hard work!

Additionally, before we hang the tools for the year - in our new shed funded through a community grant from the Whitefish Community Foundation (thank you WCF!) - we have teamed up with Flathead Area Mountain Bikers to address bike wear and tear on the Haskill section of the Whitefish Trail between Big Mountain and Reservoir Road Trailheads. We are focusing on smoothing out break bumps, reshaping existing berms, and improving drainage. To continue the progress made with FAMB, we are hosting a WT Reservoir volunteer work day on Saturday, October 14 at the Big Mountain Trailhead. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our Trail Coordinator, Sarah at sarah@whitefishlegacy.org.

The Whitefish Trail runs through a mix of state, federal, and private lands. These cooperative partners seek to preserve public access, healthy forests, wildlife habitat and water quality on these open lands.
