WT 2015 Trail Construction RFQ

The Whitefish Trail Committee is requesting quotations from interested contractors for trail construction in the Dollar Lake and Little Beaver Lake areas during the summer and early fall of 2015.Specifications and guidelines will be available by 1:00pm Wednesday, July 22 at Whitefish Parks & Recreation Department at 510 Railway St., Whitefish, MT, or online at www.whitefishlegacy.org.

Interested contractors will be required to attend a mandatory walk-through on Tuesday, July 28 at 9:30am. A follow-up walk-through may be scheduled for contractors unable to attend the July 28 date. Specifications and guidelines will also be available at the walk-through.Quotations will be due by 5:00pm on Friday, August 7, with work slated to begin as soon as possible thereafter. Trail work must be completed no later than September 30.

Bids must be for a cost per lineal foot of trail construction, including both machine work and hand work. Final trail lengths will be determined with a measuring wheel. All tasks are outlined in the Scope of Services and Trail Construction Specifications document. Please also include an hourly rate for additional excavator work (based on machine hour meter), and hand crew labor rates.

Trail construction will be separated into two bids – Dollar Lake, and Little Beaver Lake. Bids should be submitted to the Whitefish Parks & Recreation Department referencing Whitefish Trail Construction – Dollar Lake, or Whitefish Trail Construction – Little Beaver Lake. WT 2015 Forestry RFQ

The Whitefish Trail Committee is requesting quotations from interested contractors for forestry work associated with trail construction in the Dollar Lake and Little Beaver Lake areas during the summer of 2015. Specifications and guidelines will be available by 1:00pm Wednesday, July 22 at Whitefish Parks & Recreation Department at 510 Railway St., Whitefish, MT, or online at www.whitefishlegacy.org.

A follow-up walk-through may be scheduled for contractors unable to attend the July 28 date. Specifications and guidelines will also be available at the walkthrough.

Quotations will be due by 5:00pm on Friday, July 31 with work slated to begin in early August. Forestry work must be completed no later than August 31.

Bids must be for a total sum that includes all tasks as outlined in the Scope of Services and Forestry Specifications document. Contractors should also include an hourly rate for sawyers/swampers for additional services that may be required.
