Whitefish Legacy Partners has been awarded $10,000 from the Montana Department of Agriculture Noxious Weed Trust Fund Grant. The grant will support noxious weed education, training, and signage on the Whitefish Trail. In partnership with Flathead County, WLP will host a noxious weed guided hike where participants will learn about local species, eradication techniques, and local resources for property owners. A noxious weed volunteer day will will follow the guided hike, where participants will help pull weeds at the busiest WT trailheads. WLP will also work closely with the State to develop noxious weed education signs for  the WT trailheads and develop a Weed Plan specific to the Whitefish Trail.
