Whitefish Legacy Partners was recently awarded funding for the Whitefish Trail Emergency Response Plan from Flathead Electric’s Round Up for Safety Program. This grant award will allow WLP to increase trail sign information, sign frequency and map information, as well as provide the WT Bike Patrol with first aid kits and certifications. In addition to updated maps at the trailheads, markers will be installed at intervals along the trail that will allow trail users to effectively communicate their location to the Whitefish Fire Department/Emergency Services in case of an accident or emergency.
