New Grants support Education and Trails to kick off 2025!

We are thrilled to announce that WLP received grant funding through the Flathead Electric Cooperative's Roundup for Safety community safety program to update trail maps and safety signs along the Whitefish Trail and purchase more trail tools to help with our ongoing maintenance work.

Additionally, our Education programs recently received support from the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee and the Flathead Conservation District to support 2025 Bear Aware programs, busing for school field trips, and education program supplies. Funding will support needed transportation and essential teaching materials that enhance our education programs.

The Whitefish Trail runs through a mix of state, federal, and private lands. These cooperative partners seek to preserve public access, healthy forests, wildlife habitat and water quality on these open lands.
