Botany on Bike Guided Ride on the Whitefish Trail

Join us on Thursday, July 10th at 6:00 p.m. for our first Botany on Bikes Guided Ride at Beaver Lakes Trailhead.

Participants will ride 5 to 8 miles and learn plant identification skills and fun plant facts while exploring the Whitefish Trail. The ride will be led by Mirabai McCarthy, a Botany professor at Flathead Valley Community College and avid mountain biker.

This guided ride will give bike enthusiasts the opportunity to develop plant observation skills and discover native plants supporting our forests and wildlife. The forests of the Beaver Lakes area provide a diverse array of habitat to explore and fun trails to ride.

This ride is suitable for intermediate mountain bike riders. Bring your bike, helmet and water and meet at 6:00 p.m. at the Beaver Lake Trailhead, just 7 miles north of Whitefish on Beaver Lake Road.
