About the event
This is a volunteer opportunity for teens ages 14-16! Being a Forest Explorers Counselor In Training with Whitefish Legacy Partners provides opportunities for the development of leadership skills and responsibility while on the trail. This is a chance for your teen to grow in their ability to lead groups and practice job skills while under the supervision of our Education Coordinator. This is a unique position because it is very interactive and takes place entirely outside on the Whitefish Trail!
Position Details:
o THREE WEEKS available: June 16-19, June 30-July 3, August 11-14 from 9am-1:30pm, Monday through Thursday
o Each CIT will state the dates of their preferred week of camp and their second choice. If you are accepted, you will be guaranteed one week of camp.
o Each CIT will be provided opportunities to lead, depending on interest and ability, under the supervision of the Education Coordinator (examples include: leading an activity or game, leading group check-ins, leading hikes, etc.) with the goal of growing in confidence and autonomy in a work environment.
o CIT's will be helping with kids taking part in Forest Explorers Camp aged 7-11.

2. Once WLP receives your email application, applicants will take part in a short phone interview (10-15 minutes).
