Independent Field Trips & Live-Streamed Learning

Spring is usually the time when we are busy with busloads of students arriving for field trips on the Whitefish Trail. With schools closed and students learning from home, we’re looking for new ways to engage youth with nature. We have prepared independent field trips for grades K-2 and 3-5 for families to complete while enjoying a hike on the Whitefish Trail or even in your backyard! Please observe appropriate social distancing.

We hope you enjoy learning on the Whitefish Trail!

We have continued live-learning on FaceBook. Last week, WT Education Coordinator, Christiane, taught everyone about springtime in the forest through songs, stories, and puppets! This virtual event is geared for youth aged 3-7.

Follow WLP on FaceBook to learn about upcoming live-learning events, independent field trips, and fun activities outside.

Please remember to observe appropriate social distancing while out on the trail!

The Whitefish Trail runs through a mix of state, federal, and private lands. These cooperative partners seek to preserve public access, healthy forests, wildlife habitat and water quality on these open lands.
