About the event
This is a volunteer opportunity for teens ages 13-16! Being a Whitefish Trail Counselor In Training with Whitefish Legacy Partners provides opportunities for the development of leadership skills and responsibility while on the trail. This is a chance for your teen to grow in their ability to lead groups, practice job skills, and learn about outdoor education while under the supervision of the Camp Leader. This is a unique position because it is very interactive and takes place entirely outside on the Whitefish Trail!
Position Details:
o FOUR WEEKS available: Dates TBD
o Each CIT will state the dates of their preferred week of camp and their second choice. If you are accepted, you will be guaranteed one week of camp.
o Each CIT will be provided opportunities to lead, depending on interest and ability, under the supervision of the Camp Leader (examples include: leading an activity or game, leading group check-ins, leading hikes, etc.) with the goal of growing in confidence and autonomy in a work environment.
o CIT's will be helping with kids taking part in Forest Explorers Camp aged 7-11.
