Another wonderful guided birding walk on the Whitefish Trail to be held at Lion Mountain Trailhead. Join staff from the Wild Wings Recovery to learn about their efforts rehabilitating wild birds in Northwest Montana. The staff will arrive with a Red Tailed Hawk, Great Horned Owl, a Northern pygmy Owl, and a Northern Saw-Whet to illustrate specific birds characteristics and their injuries. After a short presentation at the Learning Pavilion, WT Education Specialist Kim Corette and staff from Wild Wings will lead a hike to the Skyles Lake Overlook, looking for birds and exploring avian habitat along the way. Bring binoculars and a camera. Meet at the Lion Mountain Trailhead @ 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 24th, 2015. RSVP not required and participation is FREE. The Learning Pavilion is one half mile from the trailhead and is ADA compliant.
