Please join us to learn more about the management of Grizzly Bears and how we can protect bears and ourselves while out on the trails.

More about Tim Manley:
Tim was born in Great Falls, Montana and lived in Missoula and Butte before his family moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado. He graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s in Wildlife Biology. He moved back to Montana in 1981 and began work with the Kootenai National Forest mapping grizzly bear habitat in the summer and cruising timber in the winter.
Tim began working on grizzly bears in 1984 when he worked on the Cabinet/Yaak Grizzly Bear Project. From 1988-1992 he worked on the South Fork Grizzly Bear Project as the habitat biologist. In 1993, Tim was selected to fill the newly created Grizzly Bear Management position for Region One. The area he covers includes a large portion of northwest Montana within and adjacent to the Northern Continental Divide Ecosystem. This includes much of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex.
